Here Jim shares a cherished idea from a cherished book about a (you guessed it), cherished philosopher. You can hear more about Marcel in season 11 of the Turning to the Mystics podcast.
Jim, I was not raised in the same faith tradition as you and there was a time years ago now, when I wouldn’t have even thought about listening. I’m deeply grateful that I’ve grown past the state of us/them for what you offer is rich! Your words resound deep within me and steadily encourage me on the path of experiencing The Presence in my every waking moment. Granted imperfectly, but even in that God is there. Thank you, thank you!
Yes, Jim, I found this very helpful. When I discovered your cassette tapes some twenty years ago the “thou” of myself recognized the truth of something that was utterly foreign to me. I’ve followed the path you teach about these twenty years—at times faithfully, at other times haphazardly. Now in my 80’s, retired, the path has found me. Thank you for making the not-understandable make sense to my changed heart.
