Lovely. Thank you. Practice as you describe it, is presence, witness. Presence and witness to the infinite, immeasurable truth we often lose touch with. Why? Because our lives are performance-based and evaluated for results rather connection. Practice, of course, is also practice like piano or free throws or memorizing a poem. It is focused work, a place, an action where we grow in our skills. No wonder we get better at discerning the divine in the everyday through contemplative practice. Blessings to you Jim Finley. Peace and the beauty of the truth be yours.

“Giving ourselves over with all our hearts…” To be fully present in our daily lives so that we can give with all our heart to attend to our daily tasks, be it spiritual or completely mundane. When everything is felt with all our hearts, we know that we are leading a life filled with grace and love. Practice, practice, practice. Thank you for this.

I love the idea of a “constellation” of practices, and have found this to be true. Thanks, Jim.

Deep calls unto deep. Gratitude is too weak a word to describe my daily rendezvous with God. It has sustained me for many years and continues to. It’s interesting really, I don’t feel any elation when I’m in discursive prayer or meditation, but there is a kind of accumulative effect on my faith which is also hard to describe. The closest explanation I can come up with is to listen to Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings. The music begins slowly and quietly and builds and builds until it reaches an ecstatic crescendo that feels to me like entering into the full presence of God. Le sigh.🥰

Thank you Jim….beautiful words and reminder how daily practices, rooted in devotional love for God, leads us into an ever deepening depth of divinity…a deepening depth of our Union and Communion in God through the Living Word!

I know of nothing more beautiful and more glorifying to our Loving God, that our becoming more alive, more alert, more awakened, and more attentive to experiencing God’s presence in all things and all people.

Thank you again!

Blessings Everywhere! ❤️🙌🙌❤️
